The following is a step-by-step guide to help you setup PPTP manually on your iPhone.
Things to Consider:
Before you begin, please make sure that:
- You have a working internet connection
- An iOS device (Smartphone, Tablet etc.)
- A Premium NicVPN account (If you haven’t made an account you can get a free vpn account Here.)
PPTP is not supported on iOS 10 and higher. For more details please read this.
Step 1 : Go to “Settings” (1).
Step 2 : Tap on “General” (2).
Step 3 : Select “VPN” (3).
Step 4 : Tap on “Add VPN Configuration…” (4).
Step 5 : Tap on “Type” (5).
Step 6 : Tap on “PPTP” (6).
Step 7 : Set up the fields (7) as following:
Description: Give a name to connection so you would remember what connection you use. We recommend to use NicVPN here.
In the “Server” field type the IP address of a NicVPN server. You can find all the available servers in the VPN Servers in the Client area.
Account: Enter your VPN username. You can find your VPN username and password in the client area on our website, by going to My VPNS. Make sure you use your VPN username and password and NOT the client area credentials.

RSA SecureID: OFF
Password: Type your VPN password.
Encryption level: Auto
Send all traffic: ON. Tap on “Done” (8).
Step 8 : A warning will appear. Tap on “Save”.
Step 9 : Now your PPTP VPN on iPhone connection is created, you can now connect (9) to VPN from your iPhone or iPod.
